I have practiced medicine here in Wimberley for the past 18 years and during this time I have had the privilege of caring for many of you and your families. It has been such an honor to be your physician and share in your quest for a healthy, active life.
As you know from personal experience, our health care system is becoming extremely complex. From my perspective as an experienced physician, the many changes underway in healthcare will continue to affect our relationship and my ability to provide the highest standard of care to you, my patients. After much reflection and soul-searching, I have decided that I do not want to compromise my diligent attention to your individual care.
Therefore, I am going to devote the next phase of my medical career to providing comprehensive care for a smaller group of patients, who want to achieve the best possible health through the next decades of their lives. There is good scientific documentation that preventive medicine and attention to wellness lead to longer, more active and vigorous lives.
I will work diligently with you to continue to make the next segment of your life as healthy as possible. Whether you are in your 30’s, 80’s or anywhere in between, I want you to achieve the best possible health and lifestyle that you can.
I hope that you will join me in this new program for assured, comprehensive healthcare. If you do, you will have my careful and devoted attention to your personal wellness in a less hectic and more personalized medical practice. Every year we will perform a thorough executive physical to establish your health baseline and medical goals for a wellness program. We will sit down and monitor your progress towards these goals. If you are not making progress, then together we will re-design your program of care, and I will do everything in my power to move you toward these goals. Together, we will strive for a proactive approach to keep you healthy.
I will dedicate my skills and knowledge in Internal Medicine and Anti-Ageing Medicine, to your quest for optimum health and happiness. I hope you will join me on this exciting journey.
Dr. Lane Sebring is the founding physician of the Sebring Clinic and the developer of the Paleo Pharmacy. Both clinic and pharmacy are located in the middle of 15 wooded acres in Wimberley, Texas halfway between San Antonio and Austin in the beautiful Texas hill country. His uniquely qualified staff work in harmony at the direction of Dr. Sebring to provide patients with a comprehensive healthcare experience including on-site x-ray, laboratory, IV nutritional therapy and a “natural pharmacy” providing nutritional and herbal remedies he knows works for patients through 16 years of vetting by Dr. Sebring.
Dr. Sebring completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Texas at Austin and obtained his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; the oldest medical school west of the Mississippi. He then completed his family medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler Texas. Dr. Sebring set up private practice as an independent physician at the Sebring Clinic in 1996. It soon became apparent to Dr. Sebring that the current medical paradigm was designed to treat the symptoms of the herd and not the causal-based problem of the individual. He began attending multiple conferences in nutrition in an effort to broaden his education and understanding and enlarge his toolbox for patients. He soon found that his whole paradigm changed. This was further developed when he began attending conferences hosted by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine that soon was to boast 25,000 members from 71 different countries. The lecturers were such as fourth generation endocrinologists from Belgium or Nobel prize winners or leading edge plastic surgeons from Japan or physicians who trained Olympic athletes; physicians who truly have something to say as opposed to drug reps or researchers working for the pharmaceutical companies. The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine offered board certification for those physicians who were able to pass the examination after practicing Anti-Aging medicine for five years. Dr. Sebring served as a board examiner for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He has become a recognized expert in Alternative and Anti-Aging Medicine and has been called the first physician to base his practice around the Paleo Diet now recognized as the diet humans are designed to eat. His organ reserve and system and total stress load theory of aging not only best explains the unnatural aging pattern of modern humans, but lights up a pathway to avoid that unnatural pattern whereby humans maintain functionality at a high level throughout their life until death.
Dr. Sebring endeavors to eliminate or reduce patients’ prescription drugs teaching them to use natural methods that respect their body’s original design. Dr. Sebring enjoys curing the “incurable” and helping those patients modern medicine has failed. Dr. Sebring’s goal is to educate his patients about the nature of disease and how to avoid it. He teaches lifestyle changes and utilizes multiple modalities to treat patients circumferentially in a manner that maximizes their functionality and potential allowing them greater choices for their lives.
